Apple uses wide memory buses on their Pro/Max lineup which means memory bandwidth is significantly higher (using 8 ddr5 chips instead of 2 on the intel for example), and for like the m5 max the bandwidth is actually higher than most mobile nvidia GPUs.

MacBooks have great hardware at the cost of a kidney and sending all your data to Apple.

Ich verstehe den Geschwindigkeits-Einwand, aber für mich ist bei solchen x64-Geräten Multi-Thread irrelevant und Single-Thread schon ~3x so schnell wie benötigt. Klar, wer Multi-Thread braucht, kaufe Anderes.

It's kind of a chicken-and-egg problem, really: Do devs refuse to optimize or make apps for android tablets because people don't buy them, or do people don't buy android tablets because nobody makes apps that are optimized for them?

Wir reden hier aber von einem Business Gerät und hier sind die Kompatibilitätsprobleme mit Windows on ARM noch einmal deutlich ausgeprägter. Ansonsten hätte Microsoft auch nicht extra Surface for Business Modelle nachgeschoben, die auf x86 setzen. Beim Vergleich der Surface Modelle mit identischen Displays war auch das Laufzeitargument nicht mehr wirklich relevant.

Lenovo bietet nun einmal die IPS Modelle an und wenn man eine lange Laufzeit möchte, ist es immer noch eine vernünftige Option, gerade zum Arbeiten. Aber ja, die Kritik mit der Kalibrierung ist gerechtfertigt. Die beiden Laufzeittests wurden mit der Werkskalibrierung durchgeführt.
