The "best" camera/image is not these oversharpened, ect. / Ai trickery post-processing imagery. 😏

As a great man have once said - "the best camera is the one in your (OUR) pocket" - not in someone else's pockets.

QuoteAnd everyone keeps forgetting - this isn't even the first time Microsoft tried this. I know the tech press is paying rent to Apple for space up Apple's backside, but they we're the first to go ARM - Microsoft was with the Surface RT ten years ago. It was a colossal flop exactly because all you could run was Office.

Exactly.

Forgetting for the moment that "Chromebooks" were going to take over the inexpensive computing device segment (OEM's just kept making them more & more expensive!) however they did not get far into the market as Chromebooks are limited in what they can do and be used for.

Even if I applaud the introduction of different instruction sets in consumer electronics (if ONLY the 68000 was around when IBM was looking for CPU's...) WIN-on-ARM at this stage is ONLY for 1-2 desperate reasons:

The PC industry for DECADES has relied on Microsoft releasing OS versions that generally to mostly 'kill' the performance of prior hardware generations which in turn force users to refresh/upgrade their hardware to run the new OS.

In May 2024 WIN11 is mostly DOA as many/most have not adopted it.

The shoehorning in "Co-pilot+" into the feature set along with minimum hardware requirements that are BEYOND almost ALL current PC's is Microsoft's desperate attempt to coax users into purchasing new hardware.

Sit back and watch the 'lemmings' flock to the new 'AI' devices.

There are many gorgeous subjects to photograph in the capital of France. But which phone is able to best capture them? Armed with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Honor Magic6 Pro, we embarked on a journey through the streets of Paris and even climbed the Eiffel tower.

Researchers are using normal ANC headphones and two additional microphones to show how noise can not only be suppressed. Instead, one specific voice is filtered by eye contact and amplified, while the rest remains muted.

Humm...

Forgetting for the moment that (for a few generations now) 'PlayStation' & 'Xbox' are merely stripped down 'PCs' with custom APU's and Operating systems.

While in days-gone-by the intention was to 'lock' owner/users into your 'ecosystem' with exclusive titles.

This later morphed into (the holy grail of business!) of reoccurring revenue (IE: monthly subscriptions).

As PC OEM's the world over take chances and risks developing a multitude of 'PC' form factors and bringing them to market, what percentage of these end up being subscribed to 'Xbox' services?

So team MS is thinking that greater 'Xbox' hardware choice is needed here?
