The Tesla Model Y gets another formidable competitor, challenging it both in price and in specs. The new NIO brand Onvo priced its L60 SUV $4,000 cheaper than the Model Y and gave it 0.229 Cd.

News / Re: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen ...
Last post by Randy chan - Today at 22:36:11
Qualcomm's upcoming snapdragon 8 Gen 4 going from the 4nm node process to the 3nm node process will be a significant upgrade from 8 Gen 3 which itself is a powerful SoC. And regarding the upcomings dimensity 9400 and exynos 2500 which is expected to complete with 8 Gen 4 will be fierce competition at it's finest with all 3 companies trying to outdo each other. While there is rumors that dimensity 9400 and exynos 2500 may have slightly higher benchmark performance than 8 Gen 4 in some areas, it must be noted that Qualcomm stands apart by it's long history of being the most reputable SoC manufacturer which is why in my next phone I'll choose the 8 Gen 4 to play it safe since Qualcomm is the proven overall winner.

Rather sad or comical stuff...

"China" need not have ANY R&D expense/budget as companies around the world send them THEIR IP for the Chinese to assemble.

Out of pure GREED and justified by "everyone else is doing it" factories and abilities around the world got "out sourced" to China.

Granted, all China would have to do to CRIPPLE just about ANY country is to simply STOP EXPORTING to it!!!

When it comes to "duties", consumers ALWAYS are the ones that PAY for them. Be it in increased costs of the imported items OR (if they are ACTUALLY AVAILABLE!!) for the higher cost items produced in ones own country.

While China has both a labor and government subsidy advantage, many of the items that new tariffs are on DO NOT have a locally produced non-tariff option.
