Quote from: Asher Pat on Yesterday at 17:08:39When i read a fawning headline on Notebook Check I don't have to read who wrote it. If it is a song of praise for Apple, it's Alex Alderson and if it is a promotional material for Tesla, it can be only Daniel Zlatev.
But to claim that "Tesla runs supercars off the track" is ludicrous!  It is only good for drag race, on track it is just a fast car and no match for cheap porsches or the hot audis as evidenced by Nurburgring lap times.
I'm a car fan, I've owned 25+ cars, my friends own various curent gen supercars and exotics. Wanna know how many  have ever been to the track ? Just me. With a Miata Mx5 and will probably never go again.
Like it or not, the ONLY comparable and relatable metric is 0-60mph or 0-100km/h since you can do it legally on most roads. You can't hit top speed, you can't corner at 150 legally though.

Not to mention that all you do in that Tesla is tap the pedal and get those numbers. The Lamborghini needs to be in launch mode or it'll be much slower.

Car fans should rejoicing! This is what we ALWAYS dreamed of.  Super cheap, super reliable cars that cost less than a Vespa to run, this is it. Yet here we are with some people yelling that EV performance doesn't count because XYZ reason.

Exotic cars are for showing off, maybe 0.05% actually see a track but they're bought for vanity and that's perfectly fine but let's not pretend track numbers matter anywhere but the track

Last post by Redaktion - Today at 08:01:32
Google has a good track record of not being able to keep its unreleased phones secret for long. The Pixel 9 series isn't an exception in this regard. Previously, we had detailed images of the upcoming phones, and now, the Tensor G4 benchmark results are out. As per the benchmarks, the new SoC won't offer a big performance jump from its predecessor.

"Hersteller von Smartphones mit sehr langen Updates (Samsung , Google und Apple)"

Du meinst "mittellangen Updates", denn "lang" wären 15+ Jahre, damit Updates größenordnungsmäßig solange erfolgen, wie die Smartphones mit regelmäßig erneuerten Akkus hielten, wie es Festnetzmobiltelefone mit Wechselakkus tun.

Quote from: heretiq on Yesterday at 23:16:22what the iPad is, why it exists, and how to use it as it is to accomplish things they claim it can't do

Since you know it all, please explain some basics:

- How to permanently disable the microphone button of the regular on-screen keyboard instead of always having to click "Not Now"?

- How to permanently reject popups asking for acceptance of the iCloud terms instead of always having to click "Not Now"?

- How to update iPadOS via WLAN while rejecting the iCloud terms?

- If, say, 1 GB storage is free, how to use only one command to transfer, say, 2 GB of many small files via the Files app, SMB and USB to a Windows PC? That is, how to avoid the Files app's attempt to duplicate all the files before transferring them and failure due to insufficient storage?

- Without factory-resetting i(Pad)OS, how to delete a file in the Files app that it refuses to delete by not offering the Delete command?

- Within iPadOS itself, how to create multiple users and file / folder access rights for each of them?

- Within iPadOS itself, how to set and enforce rules preventing execution of particular softwares for particular users?

- Within iPadOS itself, how to recursively batch process file commands on all files of an arbitrary file type also in all subfolders?
