Guten Morgen,
ich habe folgenden Artikel gefunden:
GeForce 8 mobile graphical solutions with directX 10 support was announced in the beginning of May. The GeForce 8600M GT remained as elder video card model , it has 32 stream processors, frequencies 475/950/1400 MHz, 128- bit memory system bus and support 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory .
Yesterday NVIDIA announced one additional graphical solution in this series. This video card obtained the designation GeForce 8700M GT, the number of stream processors remained as before : 32 . This card has high frequencies (625/1250/1600 MHz) and also an optimized memory system bus . Now appeared the mysterious phrase " dual-rank 128-bit ". It is possible to assume that this dual-rank 128- bit memory system bus is effective as the 256- bit system bus.
The GeForce 8700M GT video card can be equipped with 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory . The video chip is produced on 80 nm technical process, TDP level does not exceed 35 W. The GeForce 8700M GT speed level exceeds the GeForce Go 7900 GS by 27-70%. The first notebook on base Of GeForce 8700M GT will become Toshiba dynabook satellite WXW, in its composition will be the video card version with 256 mb GDDR- 3 memory .

Das höhrt sich doch Interessant an.

soll das heissen wenn die richtigen dx10 spiele die diesen dual-rank-128bit zeug unterstützen das die karte sogar besser sein kann als die 7950 GTX (großes Fragezeichen)
Hallo,
also ich weis leider auch nicht ganz was das heißen soll bzw wie genau das funktioniert. Muss da noch etwas im I-net stöbern.
Grüße Ocien
P.S. Habe da noch was gefunden:

Dieses DualRank gibt es also nur auf der 8700m GT
P.P.S
So habe nun glaube ich des Rätsels Lösung gefunden:
Dual Rank 128 Bit"-Interface = An jedem Speicherkanal hängen zwei Speicherchips
Ob das nun besser gleich oder schlechter ist als die "normale" Anbindung wie z.b. bei der 8600m Reihe weiß ich nicht.
