Nachdem das erste Notch-Handy von Nokia, das Nokia X6 nun langsam auch international als Nokia 6.1 Plus eingeführt wird, war es für HMD Global an der Zeit, eine zweite Notch-Variante des Nokia-Designs am chinesischen Festland einzuführen. Das Nokia X5 startet um umgerechnet 130 Euro recht günstig.
