Already under threat from smartphone chip-based ARM-powered notebooks and having to recover from the unexpected loss of its CEO, Intel looks to be under renewed threat from Qualcomm. Unlike previous ARM-based notebooks, the rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000 could be purpose-built from the ground up to challenge Intel's ultrabook dominance.
