The Huawei P9, P9 Plus, and Honor 8 may not get the Oreo update after all

Huawei's customer support has announced that the Huawei P9 will not get the update to Android Oreo. This comes after the company sent out beta updates to users of the device in China last month.

Great article, terrible decision on Huawei part! So they basically sent/solld smartphones with hardware issues and now they refuse to allow update to Oreo!?

I really do think Huawei has dropped the ball massively over the past few months. Starting with the bootloader fiasco and now this...

Both the Honor 8 and P9 recently received another beta build in July (20th July) which fixes more bugs and further improves system stability. Also, the beta program is still going on which will be finalised at the end of July.
