Microsoft's Lumia smartphone sales numbers disappoint

Windows Phone may be on its last legs, but Microsoft isn't giving up on smartphones just yet. The upcoming Surface Phone represents all of the company's hopes and dreams when it comes to the mobile market.

Not wanting to state the bleeding obvious but why did MS think it was 'a briiliant strategy" forcing 95% of the customers to adapt to their W8,8.1,10 interface designed for 5% of their MS phone users is beyond me.. the sooner we have an android like OS for PCs the better...

It's hard to sell phones if major carriers like Verizon don't carry them in their stores anymore and the only place you can get them is from partners on Amazon.

The feud between Microsoft and Verizon is the biggest problem because Verizon didn't like not having control over when updates came out and the ability to remove their bloat/crapware with ease.

Another reason is the lack of devices with external memory and severely limited internal memory.

The lack of apps is nonsense because how many social media apps do you need that isn't already supported, how many flappy bird or bursting bubbles games do you need, or how many Starbucks or McDonalds apps do you need... the list is endless of useless apps no one needs but for some reason the lack of useless apps is the top priority of a smartphone's success or failure.
