Enduring. Dell's little netbook adds color to the desk and can serve with a very good battery life. At around 250 Euros, the laptop is on the same price level as its rivals.

This device clearly uses PWM brightness regulation, very easy to see:

No idea, how Notebookcheck is testing... :(

The Dell Inspiron 11 (3162) is quite under-powered for Windoze; however, with Ubuntu 16.04, this machine shines.  Low cost, secure, convenient size and weight, make this a very nice Ubuntu notebook computer.

The article states that the processor can be boosted to 2.6 GHz. How is this achieved?

Your article says that it has 10 GB free.  Theoretically, it should as the Windows folder on ours is reading that takes 18.4 GB.  In actuality, the HD says that it has just over 800 MB free, and buyers need to be aware of that as it is not enough to install any useful software such as MS Office.

Since we cannot actually find any programs in System Settings that are taking up enough room to account for the entire 10 MB, my husband suspects there is a hidden restore image that he can eventually find and move off, but some users aren't going to know how to find such a file.

Overall, this seems to really be a glorified tablet that isn't good for much more than Internet surfing.

Rubbish product, stay away. Once updates are run there is no space left to do anything.

Intel turbo boost, it's automatic, no need to do anything.
