Help me with my firewall

I have the firewall that came with my windows xp. I want a better one. What is a VERY good firewall i can download and use for free that dosen't slow down my computer?  :(

you could maybe try zonealarm from zonelabs

i have also heard that zonealarm should be the best freeware firewall - still i am a fan of hardware firewalls ;)
