Dave Bautista has been cast as Kratos in Amazon Prime Video's live-action God of War series, replacing Ryan Hurst after an on-set injury forced his departure and a production restart. Despite some fan concerns about the recasting and Bautista's physical transformation, filming is expected to resume in October, and the two-season adaptation is unlikely to premiere before late 2027.
