Mercedes EQ 46 round cell: LG deal for 107 GWh paves the way for S-Class EQ from 2028

Mercedes is strengthening its electric vehicle division through a comprehensive supply agreement with LG Energy Solution: a total of 107 GWh of cylindrical cell-based batteries have been secured for Europe (32 GWh from August 2028) and the US (75 GWh from July 2029) – a decisive step for S-Class EQ production.
