Consumers are revolting against payment processors who seek to ban adult-themed Steam games, movies, and art. A Change.org petition aimed at Visa and Mastercard is rapidly gaining support. Its organizers also wish to limit the power of activist groups that influence these companies.

No it's about companies forcing you to pay extreme amounts of interest to buy stuff and then they tell you what you can or can't buy. It shouldn't be you can only purchase stuff that your credit card company likes and if they dislike something you're not allowed to purchase it. You work hard to get your credit up to get credit cards so you could build your credit even further to get cars and houses. I didn't build my credit so I can be told that I'm not allowed to purchase something. If they are allowed to get away with it with this stuff they'll just keep doing it more and more. Until you ain't allowed to buy half the stuff because someone on the board of directors don't like it. By the way there isn't a single thing that I haven't been able to purchase so this don't affect me at all I just think the idea of it is dumb af

Even if it was, what does it matter to you? They're adults, paying taxes, doing their own thing in private. Its usually people like you who seek to criticize and control others that have the most/worst "sins" to hide.

Human emotions, experience, and expression is natural and should be normalized. You ever read pre-Disney folktales? Any literature pre-y2k? Your pearls would explode off your chest.

Not to mention, even if that were the case and it weren't snuffing art as whole - you can have very good lore and world building with adult material - that's just the beginning. It starts at "to save the kids" and before you know it, Christian Nationalists have turned the US into Iran. You're either pro-free speech or a liar. There are no shades of gray.

This has nothing to do porn addicts wanting porn. This is about being able to buy what we want with our money and not letting payment processing companies dictate what we can and cannot buy. Especially, when the people who are against these kind of games are the same kind of people who supported the abomination"cuties" on netflix.

As always a self righteous bootlicker who needs the govt to tell him to not wack off for two seconds.

Yep.  They like to do this type of s***.  Retail online gun store have problems with POS systems and web hosting too because these companies are soft.  Same with weed 🤷♂️

It has little to do with porn actually. It is blanket censorship done by removing the ability to make legal purchases. There are multiple other groups dealing with this censorship including AI development platforms, 3D print labs, and teen books. If payment processors are allowed to continue, what is to stop them from stopping donations to an entire party in a country? The would literally cause a major democracy to become socialist or fascist due to severe economic tolls applied to the party's opponents.

Why do you think Visa should tell you what you're allowed to buy with your money? Do you really trust the morals of Visa to be enshrined at the level of government? Because that's what you're doing by supporting this. You're putting Visa in a position where they effectively get to make laws. Is that what you want? You want laws by Visa?

That's where this is going. Law, brought to you by Visa.

Not important

Credit cards are not "peoples" money. They are the financial institutions loan to you - by them. You want that stuff, go get a steam card and top up that way. Ez.

And how exactly do you use that Steam card to buy games on Steam when those games were removed from the Steam store due to crying and censorship fetish from wannabe fascists in Visa & MasterCard?

they just hit a bunch of horror genre too. Wake-up porn is just the gateway first porn then horror then blood then guns and explosions and violence. Eventually

You see, according to Cocteau's plan I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think; I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I'm the kind of guy likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder - "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I WANT high cholesterol. I wanna eat bacon and butter and BUCKETS of cheese, okay? I want to smoke Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green jello all over my body reading playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener".

So no warhammer, no guns, no gore, no pirates, no medieval games, no monsters or dinosaurs,  no blood, just baby animals and rainbows would be allowed. Not even Minecraft is safe. No fantasy elements...
