The 795S7 is powered by the quick Ryzen 9 7945HX as well as a dedicated RTX 4060 graphics card, which turns the Minisforum mini PC into a proper workstation for creatives who are looking for a compact desktop computer.

I built one of these from a barebones that had the mobo, cpu and cooler mounted. Put in a good quality fast nvme drive and an Asus 4060 and came in under this sale price with better parts.

Problem with is is gpu cooling. There's a perforated intake panel for the 4060, but the only case exhaust is the small power supply fan. Nowhere I can see to legit mount a tiny little case fan. Cpu stays cool enough and doesn't throttle. GPU goes over 90c and throttles if pushed. And the two nvme slots are too close together. I have 2 drives with low profile ps5 coolers and they won't fit next to each other. Also, they list bluetooth and there's no wifi/bluetooth card in it, which is why there are a lot of returns.

Your low profile gpu options are a $350-500 rtx 4050 and a single slot 3050 for $200-250 or more. If you opt for the 3050, the tiny whizzy blower fan will puncture your ear drums. So I went 4060 and I'll leave it at 1080p so it doesn't get loaded up too bad.

$943 dollars is still kinda a crappy deal IMO. Basically 1k for a PC that has last gen mid-range hardware? If it was like $700-$850 it'd be solid but this is a**. I know not everyone is the best at building a PC but I think you could probably get borderline equal performance with a mini ITX system with a desktop ryzen 5, especially if you're willing to buy used. Plus all new hardware that isn't 7900xtx/4080 class or higher sucks. You can get more performance for less money by buying a 30 series card, and if you dont care about multi frame gen (which is a marketing gimmick  to make the 50 series have ANY redeeming qualities). There is only one reason to buy newer hardware and that's power efficiency if you have a high cost per KW/h. Besides that you'd probably get more performance for less money out of a used ryzen 5 7600x or 7500f if you're on a budget and with an undervolt it'd be consuming laptop chip levels of power. Besides that an RTX 3060 is better than the 4060 a lot of the time unless you'd rather trade vram for a slight spec bump. Either way I'm basically just repeating the same point.
