The Asus Vivobook 18 is now available for prices starting at €899. The laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 260 and 18.4-inch IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This new notebook supposedly offers decent performance and a modern design, but is not exactly lightweight.

Its said on the product page (in the website of asus), that the refresh rate is 144Hz and not 60Hz,

If Asus is not dumb and gives it a full sRGB and also a better option of DCI-P3 for those movie/series lovers it might be a good option.

I appreciate that it is 16:10 and not 16:9, but I would hope for more resolution than 1920x in return for its gargantuan dimensions. 2240x1400 anyone?

1920 resolution it is like a toy. On 18 inch  minimum 2K, but would expect 4K.

I agree, tautologically speaking. However, please don't forward the mistake of calling 2560x####* resolutions "2K"! This is a marketing misnomer. Apt terms include 2.5K (any), QHD (16:9), 1440p (16:9), or WQXGA (16:10).

* I assume these are what you mean. Feel free to correct me!
