Windows OEMs are a day away from unveiling the first Qualcomm Snapdragon X-powered laptops. In the meantime, ample evidence has appeared online of Samsung having prepared 14-inch and 16-inch options as the Galaxy Book4 Edge and Galaxy Book4 Edge Pro, all as Microsoft Copilot+ compatible laptops.

So let's sum this up - almost certainly weak CPU (outside of benchmarks), no software and apps, exclusively soldered RAM, very high price, almost certainly good idle battery life but comparable or worse than x86 under heavier load. At this pace Apple's MacBooks will look like a budget-friendly options.

Welcome to the ARM "future", lol.

Less sarcasm and more positivity. You don't know, we don't know and I don't know how it's going to perform in real life. Let's wait for product to be released first.

It can be the best SoC on the planet but, two words:
  • Windows
  • ARM
And however it performs it will be 100% sure overpriced and equally 100% sure it will lack major upgradability such as RAM (which is fine in superthin and light devices) but customers will pay heavy premium for upgrade from the factory, Apple-like.
