Sound from ultrasound: xMEMS unveils full-range silicon headphone driver with improved ANC bandwidth

xMEMS, a pioneer in solid state audio drivers, has unveiled its groundbreaking Cypress headphone driver, which can generate accurate sound across the audible frequency range by amplitude-modulating a series of ultrasonic pulses. The device can reach 140 dB as low as 20 Hz, and is claimed to increase ANC bandwidth thanks to its fast and wide response.
