Depending on where you live, the Chevrolet Bolt is either the cheapest or one of the cheapest electric vehicles available. Unfortunately, Chevrolet is discontinuing the Bolt and Bolt EUV at the end of 2023, meaning buyers will have to look elsewhere for an EV that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. A look at the competition shows why the US$27,000 Bolt has been such a hit.

The biggest issue with the Leaf isn't even the range, it is the fact that Nissan refused to include liquid passive coolant. It's like an engine not including coolant. Thus Leafs battery is most likely to degrade much faster than other EVs. Now sure, the warranty does cover degradation, but if you lose 25% and still not qualify. And once you go over 100k miles your warranty is gone. Quite sad that Nissan who was the market leader of EVs at one point pretty much got nowhere
