Qualcomm has announced that its first serious high-performance Arm based Windows PC SoC will launch in 2023. The new chip will, as has been expected, be developed by the Nuvia team it recently acquired which includes several former Apple chip designers.

Ohh finally, my dear Qua is coming to introduce their first pad processors with three 898 variants and then for minipc.

Now I have fun supposing Mac mini Qua clone processor.
899 Base 4C X2 (performance) 4c (Efficient)A71 and 10G71 for GPU side @15W.

899 Pro 6C X2 4c A72 & 12G71

899 Extreme 6C X2 4c X1 & 16 (or even higher) G71 💪🏻👊🏻

Of course it is easy to say anything. The share market ate it up though!

This is nothing more than a paper announcement - there is no actual product. And Apple has shipping real products today!

And in 2 years Apple will be onto the M2 and M3 !

Why all people are worried about M2 or an hypothetical M3.
At first 2022 will see M1 pro/max in others Mac products like Macmini&imac. Maybe M2 for air but then 2023 M2 Pro&Max.

I don't underestimate Nuvia/Qua also because ARM said that has a new graphic core that has double performance thatG71 that is up to 30% faster that previous gen and 15% efficient.

Are enough 6C X2 4c X1 with 16c G71 to compete against M1.

If they want can increase numbers of cores and the new ARM graphic core to say to the world: 'Hello from Nuvia'

With TSMC 3D

6C X2 (big For games) 6c (Developers & professional video photo editing w/ autocad)X1 6c (Normal daily tasking)A71 16 or 20/24/32c G71.
Just examples to sell minipc that can be cheaper than Apple but competitive.

Or even reach agreement with Raspberry pi team and produce sbc!
