One way to cut manufacturing costs is to use older components. So, what happens when you use a processor that's nearly five years old? For $600 to $700 USD, results aren't half bad.

Now compare this to 10th gen U series which is basically the same CPU, but tweaked. There is absolutely no comparison, performance is way better and power consumption is again, much better with 10th gen, even if it is basically the same process, same CPU, same everything.

you think so or its a fact? i gave you a link with the numbers, why are they not good enough for you? here are 2 cores/4 threads again:
best of 10th gen comet lake, i3-10110U .....403 points
best of 8th gen i3-8145u.....351,5
best of 7th gen i7-7600u....344(actually 7660u is faster, but only 1 result in the database)
or..you know what, perf rating is even better
QuotePerformance Rating - CB R15 + R20 + 7-Zip + X265 + Blender + 3DM11 CPU
so, we can go here https://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmark-List.2436.0.html?
restrict by ..
ok, nevermind, this table and filters is a mess, unusable.(in a contrary to  userbenchmark database), so i'll tell you, all 6th-10th are in a pretty narrow corridor.

For newcomers, a quick note that contrary to what you can read in the review above, the AeroBook Plus now has a matte 4K display and the Wi-Fi card is better too, an Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 7265 with a speed of 866 Mbps - at least in mine I bought a few days ago. Fingers crossed ;)
