Das ThinkPad E490 ist optional auch mit einer dedizierten Radeon-GPU erhältlich. Doch wie schon beim Vorgänger hat die Kühlung mit der zusätzlichen Hitzeentwicklung durchaus ihre Probleme, woran auch mehrere BIOS-Updates nichts geändert haben.
