Some observations:

Annoying numpad now attached to the top end Legions.
After Plundervolt, is undervolting still allowed on Intel CPUs?
Is the WiFi still Killer junk and is it going to be soldered, as recent Lenovos have?

100% AdobeRGB? Did I read that correctly. I believe this may be a mistake. If it is indeed true however, this would probably on par with the UHD 4K displays offered on super premium content creator laptops such as the Dell XPS 15.

looks like my main complaint (small battery) is getting addresed - these look really good

According to these guys (ww w.ultrabookreview.com/36526-2020-lenovo-legion-5i-7i/), when used in conjunction with the 2080 Super Max-Q, the i9 CPU can reaches upwards of 100 deg C under load. Even if you could undervolt the CPU, there's no way that would reduce the temperature significantly enough to make a difference.

Hopefully this was from a defective model, and isn't actually representative of the normal thermal performance of this device.
The Y740 had one of the best thermal designs of any of the thin(ner) laptops of its generation, and I would be very disappointed if the 7i actually has worse thermal performance.

Lenovo is going to release R7000 and R7000P configured with AMD Ryzen 4xxx CPUs in China. Not sure whether they will release them worldwide though.

Actually, I'm quite happy with the configuration and design so far.

- Bigger battery
- "Normal" webcam placement

Unless the build quality turns out to be a disappointment, this is definitely my top 3 choices.

Also, apparently, the laptop is called "Legion 7i", not "Legion 7" and it seems that Y740S is renamed to Y740Si, which I believe "i" stands for "Intel".
