Huawei joins the "technological independence" move with its Kunpeng 920 ARMv8 quad/octa-core CPUs and the associated desktop motherboards that offer PCIe3.0 integration along with support for up to 64 GB of quad-channel DDR4-2400 RAM. There are plans for server CPUs with up to 64 cores coupled with up to 1 TB DDR4-3200 RAM.
