ASUS has now confirmed that it intends to release the ProArt Display PA32UCXR later this month, a professional monitor it presented almost a year ago. In the meantime, the company has confirmed all device specifications and I/O.

Well, it's not a gaming monitor. The ppi,color accuracy,contrast and brightness sound more important parameters than refresh rate.

What  has 120Hz got to do with gaming? All of the competitors are or will be offering 120-144Hz as well as OLED and high colour gamut for productivity. Your stuck in the dark ages if you think this is an either/or situation.

Well, use DisplayPort 1.4 or one of the two Thunderbolt 4 ports. That is, in total, there are already 3 ports that support Dolby Vision. Are you missing this? Seriously? What are you doing so specifically that you need a monitor not for $2.5-3k, but for $5-7k?

Not all laptops and motherboards have TB4 ports.
In fact, only DP1.4b remains for lossless connection in 4k@60/30 bit. If you need to connect this "professional" monitor to 2 PCs (or PC+laptop) that do not have TB4, you will not succeed.

What's even worse is that often TB4 on laptops and PCs is connected to the built-in gpu in the processor, and not to a discrete chip, which sharply reduces performance.

The question is - why the hell does it have HDMI 2.0, and not 2.1 with FRL4 mode, at least?

Is one DP not enough for you? What do you lack for?
What are you doing on two powerful PCs that you lack such functionality?

A professional model must have at least 3 DP inputs, why is there a poor and non-working HDMI 2.0? It would be nice to have 2 inputs of HDMI2.1 with FRL4 mode support, then there are no questions.
