The Voxlab Aquila S2 is able to print at high-speeds. A direct drive extruder with a fine stainless-steel drive wheel and an all-metal hotend, allow high printing speeds at temperatures up to 300 °C (572 °F).

You can use the M84 X and M84 Y commands to selectively shut down the X and Y axes, while still maintaining holding torque on the Z axis.

This will prevent the nozzle from dropping while levelling the bed. However, it would be smarter to connect to the printer through Pronterface and use the G0 command to move the nozzle exactly where you want it to.

You won't get accurate tramming while moving the extruder assembly by hand.
