Google plant eine dritte Chromecast-Generation, die als einzige Änderung zum aktuellen Modell reguläre Bluetooth-Verbindungen erlauben wird. Das geht aus einem Brief an die US-Amerikanische FCC hervor, der ebenfalls verrät, dass die aktuelle Generation kein entsprechendes Update erhält.
