The WD Purple series is designed to withstand more rewrites and at wider temperature ranges than a consumer-grade variant. Applications where constant data access is vital, such as on surveillance systems or servers, can benefit from the increased reliability of the WD Purple MicroSD card. Prices start at just $18 USD for the 32 GB version with a 64 GB version coming next month.
