Meizu MX3 Review

Lately Chinese smartphones are more popular and popular so because of that I would love to introduce to you Meizu MX3. I hope you don't mind. Meizu is known as premium brand for smartphones. I have MX3 for some time now and I must say that I'm very happy with it. I did not found any problems so far. So I hope you will be interested in reading this review.

Design

Meizu MX3 is to my knowledge the first smartphone in the world which has edge-to-edge design. This means that device is almost with out bezel. In other words the phone can be smaller with bigger screen. So this is really cool. About design in my opinion MX3 is really beautiful device. So the front side is completely black while the back cover or for the back cover you have ability to choose from several different cute colors. Talking about build quality I can only say that build quality is high alt.the phone is completely made of plastic.

Display

MX3 has 5.1 inch screen, the screen has resolution of 1080 x 1800 pixels. It is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance technology. This screen gives about 412ppi which is really high. After some time I can say that the screen is perfect in one word because display is crystal clear and display is pleasing to the eye. So overall Meizu did a great job.

Performance

If you follow the news in the mobile market you already know that MX3 is not the newest device. Alt.is not the newest device it is still very powerful smartphone. In my opinion it has still a strong hardware. So it is based on Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset, consisting of Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7. It has also 2 GB of RAM and my device has 16 GB of storage there is approximately 12 GB available for user. According from this Major website Meizu also prepared several models from 16 GB up to 128GB. From this you can see that MX3 for real have strong hardware. It will be enough for every purpose including gaming. I have personally tried many apps and all have works like a charm. I have also tested the phone with several benchmark tests and below you can see screenshots with results.

GPS

As you may already know many Chinese devices has troubles with the GPS because of bad antenna, installation or something else. So I was very curious will be the same problem or not. I tried gps without Wi-Fi and network help with GPS test app. So I can freely say that GPS works because the make connection with 10 satellites with precision of 4 m. So there was no any problems, also the GPS works inside building because it has strong signal.

Camera

So if you like to take photos MX3 is right choice in my opinion. It has 8 megapixel main camera with led flash. The camera has also 1.4 µm pixel size and the aperture is f/2 wide. I photographed in several different conditions and overall I am satisfied with quality. Most photos are completely sharp and colors are almost natural while sometimes it can happen that photo is not completely sharp. The main camera can also record 1080p@30fps videos and the quality is same as for photos. Below you can see photo examples taken by MX3.

Battery

Meizu MX3 has built in Li-Po battery with capacity of 2400 mAh. In my opinion for this kind of device I think this capacity is enough. After some time if I remember correctly the battery gives autonomy of one and half day. So this is pretty good for this beast.

Conclusion

In my opinion alt.Meizu MX3 is not a newest model it is still good choice for new smartphone. It has high build quality really nice design. It has also excellent screen and very powerful hardware.
