Larger variant. With a new Haswell CPU, a GeForce GT 750M and a number of design tweaks, Asus is trying to keep its multimedia series up to date as well as on par with the competition. Our review will show whether the N750JV manages to live up to these expectations.

Can you output to the HDMI and Mini display port at the same time for a dual monitor setup?

Does the throttling effect on the CPU occur in gaming or just during the stress

Also, I am worried that the battery is non-detachable, is there a protection for it if it stays on AC for many days? In addition, I have read other reviews, and it seems that the time measurements on battery life are not accurate, some said that they can get at most 2h with 50% brightness during internet browsing, is this true?

Bugra

This stress test is very interesting for me because results r worse than Asus N550JV dont understand why n750 has a big case same fan same hardware but much more hotter. Somebody explain why?

domi

@bugra

check again. If you compare temperatures under load between n750 and n550 (both are reviewed by notebookcheck.com) you can see that n750 isn't hotter.

I think this laptop RAM consumes 1.35V rather than 1.5 volts? i bought this laptop yesterday but it comes with 12GB ram (4GB+8GB).Can i install 8GB ram stick from Patriot Signature 8GB that consumes 1.35 volts by taking 4GB stick out? thanks

All ASUS products are a piece of crap. My tablet stop working properly after 3 months and I HAD to move heaven and hell to have it fix. Won't buy anything from them again. Too expensive for what i is.

Well I have a ASUS laptop since 3 years and he stills works perfectly. On the opposite my brother had a Toshiba and after 2 years and 1 month (so just after the guarantee limit) the motherboard just stopped working. And it's the same for my friend's HP. So for the moment I'll stick to Asus (or MSI).

i just wished ASUS had windows 7 drivers for this beast.
Now i am kinda forced to buy the N76 or N56 becouse of lack of drivers

Mix

Actually, the drivers are the same, but the system won't let you install them from the CD. However, you can find them online - just install Windows 7 and find all the drivers for it on http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/asus/laptops-desktops/n750jv/37123 ;) Just did that myself, everything is just great (and I don't need to bang my head over Win 8!!!)

fatty

As mix said you can use the 8 drivers in win 7, everything seems to be working bar the lan port. But get them here.. http://www.asus.com/nz/supportonly/N750JV/#support_Download that site is inaccurate and dogy. Oh and the speakers are bloody awful on this machine. They're have this bass absent hollow sound and the subwoofer sounds exactly the same. The HP i had previous to this with its beats audio set up sounded far far better. Hopfuly they fix the inaccurate touch pad soon as well, its a little jumpy. Everything else seems superb though, mine runs quiet, cool and the screen is mint. Very happy with it.

I just started using this laptop, and I really like. The one thing is missing is the led for num lock! unbelivebale! lot's of space and no this fucking led!

Hi, just a quick question, are the display delta-e values shown here after calibration or before calibration? I would like to know as this aspect is important to me, I want to know if I can hit the values that are shown here with or without calibrating.

Well, my HP is 6 years old and it's still working perfectly. Never went to repair anything. Worked everyday on it. Just have to replace it cause I need something more performant.
