Executive Toy. The perfect plaything for the CEO? Light and slim, equipped with excellent ThinkPad input devices and a high-contrast HD+ screen. We looked closer at the touch version. Does Lenovo use IPS this time?

A correction to paragraph 2 regarding the Samsung NP900X4*: It does not (unlike the 13.3" NP900X3*) have a PLS display. However, it does have above-average maximum brightness.

Anyone have an idea why notebooks with similar hardware and similar battery capacities can have such varying battery life?  Even within ThinkPad's own product line: X1 carbon touch, 45 Wh, 7 hours vs T430u, 47 Wh, 3.5 hours battery life?  What is it about lithium polymer  batteries that makes them so much better?

I think there is problem with the battery review!

It seems that touchscreens reduce the battery consumption significantly! LOL!

Thanks for a great article. I really want to purchase the X1 Carbon (without Touch), but the only reason I'm hesitant to do so is that I heard the screens can get a bit grainy and pixelated. In your opinion, is there any truth to this? I need to read on the screen for long periods of time, so I need something that would not be so exhausting for my eyes. I'd appreciate your advice!
