£1099 isn't too bad considering the downgraded version was £999, only £100 more is a bargain in my book.

A new sad and this'll be my perfect machine at a good price point I think

PS: I really hope AMD sort those dam drivers out soon

It's a pitty that this laptop gets hot? Are you kidding me? >:( It's loaded with features in a smaller form factor than equivalently featured laptops. Dumbass.

1 Year progress Report

I have had this laptop for about a year now (bought it in april of 2013).
I must say the graphics are amazing. Guild wars 2 can be played on Med-High Settings with 40-50 fps (fluctuates).

The SD card slot is a great because it can act as a sort of a mini ssd slot. I throw all the junk I don't access every day into the 1 tb hard drive while putting essentials on my 64 gb SD card. The screen is beautiful, keyboard is perfect, and a price of $1300 is more than good. The aesthetics are amazing----This laptop is the closest you will get to macbook pro in design.

I do have a few complaints. The graphics card doesn't work on Windows 8.1. So the one time I updated it, I had to reset everything afterwards in a headaching, time consuming process. The laptop does get hot while playing video games, but I guess that is the price I must pay for buying an undercover, gaming computer that won't get me labeled as an, ehem, nerd. The fact is, this computer is perfect for those of us who want to play a little game once in awhile, without having to lug around a luggage with us.

Additional complaint that has nothing to do with Samsung: I am crossing my fingers and praying that Windows 9 will come out by the end of this year. As a former mac user, this OS is unbearable...

The edges of the laptop have begun to creak when the laptop is moved/opened. It's a pity as I had thought this was the closest I would get to unibody.

Verdict: Recently I began browsing new laptops on amazon and newegg, and I must say this computer does not seem like it is 1 year old. Finding a laptop with a matte screen, non-plastic aesthetics, 1080p 17in screen, and a good gpu wasn't easy, especially at the price of $1300. Additionally, "hidden specs" such as clunky mechanics and ugly designs make most laptops on the market obsolete to this one.
