Xiaomi's next 16-inch laptop has revealed itself before its official launch. Swapping Intel Meteor Lake-H for Intel Wildcat Lake, the Xiaomi Redmi Book 16 2027 contains upgradeable RAM to surpass its predecessor, which also features an 80 Wh battery and a 120 Hz display.

For AI, get least 32 GB RAM if you want to run general purpose, frontier, (Qwen-)27B AI models.

Even for non-LLM AI with tiny objects, I also recommend at least 32 GB RAM. 16 GB can work, but only until it suddenly doesn't. 32 gives peace of mind.
