New releases will no longer ship on PS5 discs, but tangible media support for existing titles like Wolverine may continue. Even at reduced production, the company could accommodate collectors with limited runs

Continuing printing of existing games is already confirmed by Sony even during the first announcement, so I don't know what the "may" is for here. It wouldn't be a new concession, though since they never specified volume its possible they may accommodate higher levels than planned.

If a quarter of sales are physical media, aka discs, then why would you even consider ditching them and alienating that customer base. Big companies do not care about customers anymore. They do what they want till it hits them in the wallet. I will not buy a ps6 and may switch to Nintendo or Microsoft if they still provide physical games. Have owned PlayStations1, 2,3,4, and 5, but that will be the end.
