Samsung has stopped a SmartThings update after Bespoke AI 4-Door fridges shut down when it was installed. As per reports, internal test software reached customers by mistake. Samsung has apologized and will send engineers over the Chuseok break.

I can't imagine a less necessary piece of equipment than an AI refrigerator.

Last week I discovered that my AI refrigerator was conspiring with my internet-enabled toaster to kill the digital frying pan.

Anybody who bought one of these and, as a consequence, was locked out of the veggie drawer has only himself (herself) to blame.
