This is one criticism currently being voiced repeatedly in light of various experiments with the iPhone Duo's animations and features. The other is directed at Samsung, which, as a pioneer in the field may have placed too little emphasis on the software aspect of foldables.

Apple is 8 years late to foldables market. Their only trick is an animation that was re done by a reddit user in 4 hrs? That's it. It took apple 8 years to buy Samsung displays that fold. But it took 4 hrs for a random user to re do apple's "magic"? Lol seems like one is a basic gimmick and the other one is actual hardware innovation.
