A20 Pro showcases greater peak CPU performance than the M5 Max on Geekbench 7

Apple's newly revealed A20 Pro chipset on the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro phones is a proper heavyweight. The chipset has now surfaced on Geekbench 7 aboard what appears to be an iPhone 18 Pro Max, with single-core performance eclipsing that of the M5 Max on the current-gen MacBook Pro.

Well we don't know that yet, until the phone is released on the 18th. Apple has made big changes to thermal conductivity. Plus, it's a phone. What you'll be doing on it won't be as demanding as what's on a desktop application.
