Modders have seemingly unlocked DLSS Multi-Frame Generation for RTX 3000 "Ampere"-based GPUs. This achievement casts doubt on NVIDIA's repeated claim that the feature was exclusive to the RTX 5000 "Blackwell" series because of its hardware requirements.

This could still be true: NVIDIA would just argue in bad faith and define "hardware requirements" as being a 10-25% performance difference.
Just an example of NVIDIA's arguing in bad faith could be: Due to 40 base FPS vs 60 base FPS vs the RTX 50 series on certain selected modern AAA games, but in reality many other games would still have a base FPS of 60 on the RTX 30 series. In other words, NVIDIA would invent any fake argument not to give MFG on the RTX 30 series.

PS: There's also news that modders got DLSS 5 working on RTX 40 series without any restrictions.
