From Tesla Autopilot used as drunk-driving excuses to fake malicious acceleration reports, the Chinese blogosphere is rife with EV misinformation. Xiaomi, BYD, and NIO all suffered from the phenomenon until somebody actually went to jail for it.

i wish the US government hadbeven 1/1000 the backbone as China's does in tackling misinformation and blatant lies that corrode the public perception of truth. half the world's modern problems woyld disappear if more government did this.
