Philips Hue is set to add a camera to its home theater lineup soon, allowing users to synchronize Philips Hue lights and Lightstrips with games, movies, and TV shows. This will enable both the color and brightness of the lighting to be adjusted to match the content on the screen.

Hi, I'm kinda interested in this. But from another angle. Projector. Also I believe you missed a 3rd way of doing the sync feature. Through a PC... You don't even need the newer pro hub worked well for me on the older hub..
Did get the newer one cus it was said to be improvement on speed. I have like 9 lights in my room. From sealing to playbars to those small round ones. Works great for games and movies... On PC. I have a 32inch OLED which is great but my bed is just to far. I got a new 4k projector setup just above it with a pull down screen... Think 80... Only way it can fit projector can go bigger. The projector has Google TV... Which mostly use and is connected with HDMI to PC when I play games... I haven't tried out the sync with PC side yet... It should work... And I have a Plex setup through the PC so... Yeah but il have to play with brightness ofc in order to not mess up to much with projector... But now with this attachment in middle of my pull down projector screen. I can skip PC settings and messing with working via PC or built in Google TV... And it will just talk with the hub. After I set up a new entertainment "room" for it and lower lights sufficiently this should work great.
