guys, do you forgot that you are comparing laptop chip with mobile chip? You cannot be happy that wildcat lake is almost good as mobile chip from 2024. And you should mention that wildcat lake need 2 times higher power consumption to achieve this score and active cooling. This is shame. Please be a little bit objective.

I really don't care about the Macbook Neo, I think it's a silly buy for anyone who isn't in grade school as it's competing against Chromebooks and little else.

But it's really no great feat that Intel's latest budget chip is just barely better than a SoC used in mobile phones. If anything, it makes Apple's A18 Pro stand out as the better option.

I have Neo as a office laptop and it has enough power for moderate load tasks. All day opened MS teams, outlook and excel, safari with few tabs, youtube playing in back for whole day and remote desktop connection where i do all work. I tried oracle sql developer and excel with 600000 rows, it could do anything. I would compare it to my second laptop lenovo thinkpad with intel core 125U and 16gb of ram, they are comparable in terms of smoothness. But i really prefer neo because of better screen, keyboard and sturdy aluminium chase. Macbook do not have competition in sub 1000 eur market. Neo and air M4 are now better choice, unless new snapdragon x2 will be cheaper
