A credible leaker has stated that the OnePlus 16 will come with almost a bezel-less display that will be even cleaner than the OnePlus 15. The phone is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC and have a 185Hz refresh rate.

You kind of to have as high Hz as possible to get around pwm. So blame amoled adoption I guess, although it's too late now, doubt anyone is willing to switch back.

Do you see now how brain-dead your comment is? No people don't need high refresh rates but it makes everything feel much smoother and I can tell when my phone (OnePlus 11) limits the refresh rate to 60Hz while playing video to help conserve battery. Just turn it off if you don't want it instead of being the literal embodiment of the "old man yells at cloud" meme.

I could go for 120Hz. I don't think I could honestly tell beyond that.

I'd rather have a faster update/longer update policy, which OnePlus has lacked compared to Pixels and Samsung.
