Lenovo is one of the few manufacturers with 15-inch devices and the new Yoga Pro 7i 15 Aura Edition is an impressive multimedia laptop starting at $2679 with Intel Panther Lake CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 32 GB RAM and a gorgeous 165 Hz OLED touchscreen.

How can be a noisy laptop for 3100 with 8GB VRAM and 32GB of soldered RAM in 2026 "excellent"???

I have last year's version, with difference being last year's processor and Intel Arc GPU, with a price that is around USD 700 cheaper. The upgrade certainly is not worth an extra USD 700.

Prices in this AI fueled era would be ridiculous. 32GB RAM price wont be cheap and neither is dGPU. I dont think Windows laptop compete that well against Mac these days.

Amplitude

Quote from: lu on June 08, 2026, 08:50:05how can a 1k+ hz pwm be considered a cons, if the average premium oled laptop is 480hz?

Take a look at the amplitude, it's 41%. This is way worse than Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition's. The fact that it starts it's pwm at 95% or below isn't a good sign either.

Ideally you want as low amplitude as possible and the pwm to not be there the entire brightness range, so like start at below 70% brightness setting.
