Lenovo must have paid a pretty penny (bribe) to man reviewers... How can they praise this over a Framework 13? Framework is expensive, but so is this, and Framework is a lot better!

This is good news for Framework, the big dogs are definitely scared about their success.

The X7 Intel is only available in theory for T14, there is basically one specs in psref with it, so forget about it. You can get it in the even more expensive X1 Carbon though.

During a couple of weeks, the 358H was available for the T16 Gen 5 as well (at least in Spain). I had it in my shopping cart and then it dissapeared.

The review unit went with a much inferior screen, 45% NTSC, high power consumption, lower brightness. What a waste. It is therefore wrong to conclude that Panther Lake loses to the last gen on battery life.

@Notebookcheck, please update your artikel, , because nearly all models from Lenovo were listing that RAM  is soldered, e.g. the 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533MT/s .

If Lenovo uses mainly soldered LPDDR5X-8533MT/s RAM how many other changes have been implemented to the Thinkpad T14 Gen 7 since you tested it?

In addition to the RAM do this models still offer
- the modular USB-C ports,
- can the fan still be cleaned without also changing the heat-paste.
- the free M.2 2242 slot for an optional 5G card.
- the easily user replaceable keyboard?


I found only one model:

- 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533MT/s (CAMM2) WUXGA Touch Display (21WNCTO1WWDE1)

while all other models, incl. the 4 k Touchdisplay, had  soldered RAM, e.g.:

- 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533MT/s (verlötet), 4k Touchdiplay (21YUCTO1WWDE3)
- 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533MT/s (verlötet), WUXGA Touchdiplay (21YUCTO1WWDE2)
