France’s TGV-M high-speed train approved to run – at 320 km/h

SNCF and Alstom have cleared an important hurdle. The TGV-M is now approved to operate in France at speeds of up to 320 km/h. The new double-decker trains are already the fifth generation of the TGV with more seats but also lower energy requirements.
