Microsoft has updated its smaller Surface Laptop. Now available with Intel Panther Lake, the Surface Laptop 13-inch also surpasses its predecessor with up to 24 GB of RAM and a 25% brighter display that now reaches 500 nits when viewing SDR content.

This is "for business" so they think they can charge anything they want.  Normal people should ignore this noise.

They finally realised nobody wants Qualcomm. People want x86 not performance killing emulation. Also graphics that actually work.

x86 don't need to resort to software killing performance because they've something even better. Anaemic igpu segmentation at the budget range. Trash like 840m and 2 Xe cores. If options are those, I mean sheet, you might as well go qcomm at that point.

Anyways, the SoC wars have ended. It's more about ecosystems, platforms and strong software support. The OEMs which are doing the most well now (Playstation, Valve, Apple) are all offering a more complete package and polished integrated experience.

It doesn't matter what chip you've if you don't have the rest it, your device/machine/product will fail.
