Lenovo has finally released the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 in North America. Equipped with LPCAMM2 RAM and Intel Panther Lake processors, the new 14-inch laptop can also be configured with up to a 75 Wh battery and a 30-120 Hz VRR OLED display.

The spec PDF shows higher-end Intel CPU's as options than the 4 initial offerings on Lenovo's website.  I hope they release them soon, because I don't want the low-end ones.

Intel is a real rip-off with price increases of over 17% on all its laptops. Panther Lake is a disgrace; laptops costing almost $2,000 without a dGPU. People are waiting for AMD Zen 6 and Nova Lake.

The Acer Swift 16 AI isn't. Unfortunately, it's the only one and has other issues.

It's not like halo is any better. There's only below 2k and that's the TUF A14 2026.

The zen 6 that you're interested in (halo variant), isn't coming until late 2028 / early 2029. I wouldn't even bother waiting 3 years for that.
