Steam Deck becoming obsolete? Android gaming tablet runs PC games thanks to emulator

Can an Android gaming tablet compete with the Steam Deck? We tried the Lenovo Legion Tab 5 with the GameHub PC emulator and analyzed how well Vampire Crawlers, Slay the Spire 2, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade run on it, including strengths, weaknesses, and our conclusion.

There are two sides here.
First is people who game on their smartphone ("I have all on my smartphone" type), they usually carry a gamepad and a powerbank with them anyway and struggle with throttling.
Second type is who plays on a dedicated device with physical controls.

First type is more of a workaround. Second type is playing in comfort, especially with XR glasses.

Minimum Specs on the "graphics heavy" FF7 Remake state a RX 480 / GTX 780 with 3gb VRAM for 1080p.
With no indication on Resolution or graphics settings used for testing, I think it is fair to assume on a Tablet Screen a 720p rendering Resolution with low settings.
Stutters occassionally visible.
The Tablet has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 16gb RAM, basically state-of-the-art mobile ARM Tech, as far as qualcomm goes.
Steam Deck obsolete!? Really? I mean... seriously? Could we please add something really demanding into the test and check again?

Every single of these x86 emulators on android are complete trash.

Then there's the console emulators on android, besides like 2, almost none of the rest support online multiplayer / netplay functionality.

So no, this is not a viable substitute to game on. Articles like this only show a complete lack of understanding.

I'm no fan of the deck and it has fair share of anti cheat incompatibilities but it still beats attempting to game like this.

The only good thing screenshots and videos like this demonstrate is a proof of concept. What would actually be possible and more if the entire industry and Qualcomm took gaming on arm seriously. But it will never happen because there are too many barriers and other vested interests against it from actually happening.
