Samsung raises laptops, tablets, phone prices up to $300; Apple might be the big winner

Samsung is defying its record $38 billion Q1 2026 profit by hiking prices across its US lineup. The Galaxy Book5 series sees a flat $300 jump, while Galaxy Tab prices have increased by up to $100. With a $599 MacBook Neo and new Asus Zenbooks here, Samsung's aggressive price hikes on older hardware may drive loyalists toward the competition.

The ram producers and pc/laptop manufactors can go to hell with their prices. I hope other people will say this too and give them the finger.

Now going to migrate from PC to Mac.
Agreed, I was researching my next laptop and was first looking at the usual business laptops, but even the few years old ones are more expensive than a MacBook Air 15 M5 and the Air has the better display, almost 2x the memory bandwidth, 2x the iGPU performance, the keyboard on the business doesn't stand out anymore (1.5mm key travel), the Air has a much better trackpad (better than pretty much any Windows laptop), arguably looks better, no fans and super thin, slightly bigger display (15.3 vs 14, which [the 15.3 inch] I prefer), better speakers, and so I went and got the Air 15 M5.
