Gaming without compromise? Gigabyte Gaming A18 Pro with large display reviewed

Despite its relatively slim design, the Gigabyte Gaming A18 Pro is among the largest gaming laptops on the market. We tested a configuration equipped with a Core 7 240H and a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti to see how it stacks up against the competition. Can Gigabyte's contender hold its own?

How is this "Pro"? / 2400 bucks for:

• Soldered, only 32 GB RAM, running at 5600 MT/s by the AIDA64 measurement looks of it ("64449 MB/s" ≈ 62.72 GB/s = 128 bits * 5600 MT/s / 1000 / 8 * 0.7 (theoretical -> practical)).
• Fake 165 Hz: Only true 101 Hz: 1/0.0099ms = 101 Hz. And even if the display was true 165 Hz, it'd sill not deserve a "Pro".
• For this price only 12 GB VRAM? 16 to 18 GB VRAM (this same GPU chip (192-bit) using 3 GB, instead of the current 2 GB, dense chips) would be expected (3 GB dense chips are used in the 5090 Laptop) (192-bit/32-bit per chip = 6 chips, 3 GB each = 18 GB VRAM).

Lightweight, affordable, laptops make sense, but expensive gaming laptops in general? Rather not: Do you travel with this heavy, 18", thing (and don't forget the power supply, too)? See, it doesn't make sense. Again, just build a desktop PC and see how much cheaper, repairable and upgradable it is.

What are you even comparing? Did you consider the price difference for someone who wants to play some games and doing work/studies with huge display is a big steal
